Frequently asked questions
When will I receive it?
We will ship your Captify glasses approximately 3-4 weeks from the date you place your order. Please add a week if your order contains prescription lenses.
Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number for your order. Delivery to US customers is 5-10 days from the shipping date.
Where do you ship to?
We ship internationally to anywhere in the world! We offer free shipping within the continental US. For other countries, please enter your address at checkout to see the shipping cost. You will be responsible for any customs or import duties that may arise.
What's the return policy?
We offer a 15 day return policy for the glasses, so you have plenty of time to try out Captify to see if it will work for you. If you choose prescription glasses, however, we will have to deduct the cost of the prescription lenses because they are custom-made. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, and units must be returned undamaged in their original packaging.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes! During checkout, choose Shop Pay - it will allow you to pay in installments. There is the option for four, bi-weekly, interest-free payments.
If you have insurance, or FSA / HSA cards, you can also use that to purchase - see the section below.
What languages will Captify support?

Does it have microphones?
Yes! We have built in directional microphones, enabling improved speech understanding in noise.
Does it run on iOS / Android?
Yes! We support both Android and iOS. The app requires iOS v16+ and Android 12+ to run. A phone is required for captioning.
Will it work without a phone?
No - you will need an iOS or Android phone within range of Bluetooth (10 meters / 30 feet), because the speech-to-text processing is performed on the phone, in order to conserve power consumption on the glasses.
What transcription/translation technology does Captify use?
We use Microsoft's state-of-the-art language recognition model for speech transcription/translation.
Will you support my prescription?
Yes - anything from a -20.00 to +6.00. We also support astigmatism.
Do you support FSA / HSA or insurance?
Yes! Simply use your FSA or HSA card at checkout. If you have insurance, check with your provider about out-of-network reimbursements. We can provide an itemized receipt for your insurance claim.
What happens if my prescription strength changes?
We offer prescription inserts, and your prescription lenses are pre-installed in them. If your prescription strength changes in the future, you can take them to your local optometrist, who will be able to use those inserts to make new lenses for you. We can also do it for you and ship you new prescription inserts.
Can I get my prescription lenses made locally?
We recommend getting your prescription lenses through us, as we will install them into the frames to make sure everything is aligned. If you prefer to get your lenses made at your local optometrist, we will include prescription inserts that you can take to your local optometrist to install. We recommend checking with your local optometrist first to see if they are willing to accommodate, as some lens labs are hesitant about dealing with smart glasses in case they break during installation.
Can the caption size be adjusted?
Captify Pro allows font size adjustment. We offer three font sizes: Regular, Large, and Extra-Large.
On Captify Myvu, the font size is fixed at an easy-to-ready, large size.
Can the positioning of captions be adjusted?
Captify Pro offers the option to adjust the position of the captions so they can be on the top, bottom or sides of your view.
On Captify Myvu, the position of the text is fixed to the middle-to-lower area of your field of view, so that captions are displayed right below the face of the person you are speaking to, just like with subtitles.
Will others see anything on the screen?
No. The captions display privately on your lenses.
Will I feel dizzy wearing it?
Most users adapt quickly. The display is positioned for natural viewing, minimizing eyestrain.
What colors does the screen support?
Captify uses a high-contrast monochrome mode optimized for clear, readable captions.
Are you able to see captions with both eyes or just one?
Captify contains two displays, so you should be able to comfortably use both eyes with Captify. On Captify Pro, we also offer the option to turn off one display should you wish to.
Can I try this somewhere?
Yes - we'll be in optical stores soon! In the meantime, you can send us an email at support@captify.glass to schedule an online demo.
